Terms of Service
The rules for playing Mathronauts.
Last updated 10 October 2026
1. These terms
Mathronauts is a maths game for children, played in the browser at https://mathronautsgame.base44.app and, where available, in its mobile app. By playing the game you agree to these terms. If you are a parent or guardian and your child plays, you agree to them on your child's behalf.
2. Who may play
- The game is made for children, and it is meant to be played with a parent or guardian nearby.
- A player who is too young to agree to these terms needs a parent or guardian to agree for them.
- Buying a package, a VIP membership or rubys needs an adult: purchases are the responsibility of the adult who pays for them.
3. Accounts and guests
- You can play as a guest. A guest's progress is kept in that browser on that device only, so it is lost if the browser data is cleared.
- You can sign in with a Google account to keep your progress, and then your email address, your username and your progress are stored for you.
- Keep your account to yourself. Everything done on your account counts as done by you.
- Names and messages must stay friendly: no swearing, no insults, no pretending to be someone else.
- We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, cheats, or spoils the game for other players.
4. Playing fairly
- No cheating: no bots, no scripts, no editing the game's data or the requests it sends.
- No copying, taking apart or reselling the game or any part of it.
- No trying to break, overload or probe the game's servers or other players' accounts.
5. Stars, XP, rubys and virtual items
- Stars, XP, rubys, cosmetics, gems, builders and every other virtual item are a licence to use inside the game. They are not money, they have no cash value, and they cannot be sold, traded or cashed out.
- They stay with the account they were earned or bought on. Guests' items stay on the device.
- We may adjust, retire or rebalance virtual items when the game changes — for example when a bug has handed out far more than was meant.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
- Packages, rubys and the VIP membership are paid purchases. Card details are handled by our payment provider (Stripe); the game never sees them.
- VIP is a monthly membership that renews until it is cancelled. When it ends, the benefits it lent — including the two VIP builders and the VIP stone — go with it.
- If you bought through a store (for example Google Play), that store's payment and refund rules apply to that purchase, and its help pages are where a refund is asked for.
- If a purchase fails, is cancelled or is refunded, the items it carried are not owed to the account.
- Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have by law, including any statutory right of withdrawal or refund.
7. Ads
- The free version shows a small ad between rounds, served by Google (AdSense in the browser, AdMob in the mobile app). The game's own house ad is shown if no ad is available.
- Remove Ads, the paid packages and the app's own staff accounts play without ads.
- Ads in the game are not tailored to a child's behaviour, and no advertising profile is built from playing the game.
8. Our content
The game, its name, its art, its characters and its code belong to us. You may play it for your own enjoyment, and a teacher or a parent may use it with a class or a family. Anything beyond that — copying it, publishing it, or selling it — needs our written permission.
9. Availability and changes
The game is in open beta: it is improved and changed often, some features are added, some are moved, and the game may be unavailable during maintenance. We may change or end a feature, and we may update these terms; the date at the top says when they last changed. Playing after a change means you accept the new terms.
10. Ending your side
You can delete your account and your game data at any time from the account deletion page or from Settings inside the game.
11. Responsibility
The game is provided as it is, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect or unexpected losses, or for progress lost when a device or a browser is reset. Nothing here limits the rights you have under the law of your country.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms, or about a purchase: write to us from inside the game (Settings → Profile → Report a bug), or use the developer contact address shown on the game's Google Play listing.
