What Mathronauts collects, why, and how to have it deleted.
Last updated 10 October 2026
1. The short version
- You can play the whole game as a guest, with nothing sent to us: a guest's progress lives in that browser, on that device.
- If you sign in, we keep the email address you signed in with, the username you picked and your game progress — nothing more.
- We do not ask for a real name, a birthday, an address or a phone number, we do not run a chat between players, and we never sell anyone's information.
- A parent or guardian can have the account and everything in it deleted at any time — in one tap, from the deletion page.
2. Who we are
Mathronauts is a maths game for children, played in the browser at https://mathronautsgame.base44.app and, where available, in its mobile app. This policy explains what happens to the information the game handles. It covers the game itself and every screen inside it, including the shop.
3. What the game collects
- Playing as a guest: your level, stars, rubys, cosmetics, fortress, gems and settings are saved in your own browser's local storage. They stay on that device and are not sent to our servers.
- Signing in (Google): the email address on the account, the username you choose, and — if you upload one — your profile picture. Signing in is what lets progress follow you between devices.
- Your play: the results of the challenges you play, stars and XP earned, achievements, dungeons, the fortress island, the gem mine, purchases of virtual items, and any rubys you hold.
- The live-players counter: a random session id, whether the player is signed in or a guest, and the time of the last pulse from the game. It holds no name and no email, and it drops out a few quiet minutes after the game is closed.
- Bug reports: the message you write, the screen you were on, and an optional photo. The photo is stored privately and can only be opened through a temporary link made for the developer who reads the report.
- Purchases: card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store a card number. We keep the package bought, the amount, the date and the transaction id.
- The AI IQ badge: for players who have the badge switched on, the game sends its own statistics from your finished challenges to an AI service to produce the number shown next to your name. It is switched off in Settings at any time.
- Technical basics: the usual server logs (time, page, error) that any website keeps in order to run and stay safe.
4. Children's privacy
- The game is made for children, so it deliberately collects as little as possible: no real name, no birthday, no address, no phone number, no contact list, no location.
- We do not use behaviour-based advertising, and no advertising profile of a child is built from playing the game.
- A parent or guardian may review what is kept about their child, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or have it deleted — see section 8.
- If we learn that an account was created by a child whose parent or guardian wants it removed, we delete it.
5. Advertising
- The free version shows a small ad between rounds, served by Google (AdSense in the browser, AdMob in the mobile app). The game's own house ad is shown when no ad is available.
- The game asks Google for non-personalized ads, which are chosen from the page itself rather than from a person's browsing history. Google may still use cookies for frequency capping and aggregated reporting.
- Remove Ads, the paid packages and the app's own staff accounts play without ads at all.
6. Who else sees the information
- The game runs on Base44, which provides the app's hosting, database, sign-in and file storage.
- Google provides the sign-in, the ads (AdSense and AdMob) and the AI service behind the IQ badge.
- Stripe processes payments when something is bought in the shop.
- That is the whole list: no other company is given a player's information, and nothing about a player is ever sold or rented.
7. How long it is kept
- An account's play data is kept while the account exists. Deleting the account deletes it.
- Bug reports are kept until they have been dealt with, and are removed with the account they came from.
- The live-players row disappears a few minutes after the game is closed.
- Receipts of real-money purchases must be kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, together with the email used at checkout. Nothing else about the player is kept with them.
8. A player's own choices
- Delete the account and everything in it — one tap at
- A parent may ask for a copy of what is kept, or for it to be corrected or deleted, by writing to us from inside the game (Settings → Profile → Report a bug).
- Turn the AI IQ badge off in Settings → Profile: the game stops sending statistics to the AI service.
- Play as a guest instead of signing in: the progress then never leaves the device, and clearing the browser's site data removes it.
The deletion page is here: Delete my account (https://mathronautsgame.base44.app/DeleteAccount).
9. How it is protected
Accounts are protected by the sign-in provider, and every record in the game's database is readable only by the player it belongs to and the game's own administrators. Uploaded photos in bug reports are private files: they are opened through a short-lived signed link rather than a public address.
10. Changes to this policy
When the game changes in a way that changes this policy, the policy is updated and the date at the top moves. The current version is always the one published inside the game.
11. Contact
Questions, or a request from a parent or guardian: write to us from inside the game (Settings → Profile → Report a bug), or use the developer contact address shown on the game's Google Play listing. We answer every request about a child's information.
